About the Event

The Expat Family Spanish Immersion Experience is a 7-day, in-person language and cultural immersion designed for individuals, couples, and families who want to learn Spanish through real-life use—not textbooks alone.

This experience blends structured Spanish instruction with guided cultural immersion, helping you build confidence speaking Spanish in everyday situations while gaining deeper insight into Colombian culture and daily life.

This is not a classroom-only program.
 This is Spanish lived, practiced, and experienced.

What You’ll Experience

Over seven days, you’ll participate in guided instruction and real-world language application designed to accelerate comprehension, confidence, and fluency.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Communicate in everyday situations (cafés, markets, transportation)

  • Understand cultural norms and conversational flow

  • Build confidence speaking with locals

  • Think and respond in Spanish, not translate mentally

  • Use Spanish naturally in social and public settings

You’ll also connect with fellow participants in a small-group setting that encourages practice, support, and accountability.

$1,995 USD per person

Deposit: $600 USD

Space is limited and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis once your registration form and deposit are received.

Remaining balances are scheduled between your deposit date and 45 days prior to arrival.
 If your arrival date is within 45 days, full payment will be required.

Deposits are refundable within 24 hours of reservation.
 After 24 hours, all payments are non-refundable but may be applied as credit toward a future Expat Family experience.

  • Four morning Spanish classes (Monday–Thursday) with a certified instructor

  • Daily real-world Spanish practice through guided activities

  • Market visit with Spanish-language shopping assignments

  • Walking city tour conducted in Spanish with language support

  • Guided cultural or historical excursion delivered in Spanish with support tools

Participants are encouraged to select accommodations that fit their preferences and to explore Medellín independently during open time for additional language practice.

Day 2 – Spanish Foundations
 Core vocabulary, introductions, polite phrases + guided conversation practice

Day 3 – Market & City Immersion (Spanish-Only Day)
 Market visit with guided tasks and walking city tour in Spanish

Day 4 – Everyday Spanish
 Directions, pharmacies, timing, and practical conversation skills

Day 5 – Culture, Storytelling & History
 Past tense, cultural insight, and guided historical excursion

Day 6 – Capstone & Celebration
 Final assessment, feedback, group reflection, and certificate presentation
